CeMap Mortgage Advisor Course
If you’re looking to complete your CeMap Mortgage Advisor course, then Beacon Financial Training can help. We are experts in providing mortgage industry standard qualifications, specifically CeMap 1, 2 and 3. If you work in the property sector and have any dealing with mortgage finance, this qualification is a must.
What is CeMap?
CeMap is an acronym short for Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice. Within financial services in the UK, it is the industry’s benchmark qualification. There are three parts to complete in order to be fully CeMap qualified, namely CeMap 1, 2 and 3.
One, two, three
You may be surprised to learn that you do not actually have to complete the parts in numerical order – it is possible to complete 2 and 3 then 1, or to do them in sequence from 1 to 3. There are advantages to both of these options, which our experienced team will be happy advise on if you wish to get in touch and discuss this further.
How long does the CeMAP mortgage advisor course take?
At Beacon, we offer the CeMap Mortgage Advisor course as an intensive, five-day course for part 1, plus an additional intensive four-day course for parts 2 and 3. It is possible to do the courses consecutively, completing all parts within a fortnight. The courses are however very demanding, and if your time is not restricted, we would advise leaving a gap of several weeks or a month between both courses if possible. We do also offer home study options for both courses.
The exams
One prudent reason for leaving a gap between the two courses is to allow time to sit the required exams. This means you can pass one part before proceeding to the next. To take part in the exams, you need to pay a registration fee directly to the London Institute for Banking and Finance (LIBF).
The Beacon difference
Course retake guarantee
If you do not pass your exam first time, Beacon will pay for you to take the course again. This is what we call our course retake guarantee (and is subject to our terms and conditions).
The LIBF manual
Something else that marks us out as different is that we do not insist upon students reading the entire LIBF manual before commencing the course. Some other course providers do make it mandatory to complete at least 40 hours’ study before beginning, but we don’t. We believe that students come to us because we make all that financial jargon accessible and easy to understand.
The course structure
Specialist training centres are the venues for our CeMap courses. Each course will normally have no more than 10 trainees per course at any given time. Research has shown this to be the perfect number to maximise learning potential. All CeMap course materials are included in the cost of the course.
