Mortgages (CeMAP 2) and Assessment of Mortgage Advice and Knowledge (CeMAP 3)
Consists of 4 units:
- Unit 3 – Mortgage Law and Practice
- Unit 4 – Mortgage Applications
- Unit 5 – Repayment Methods and Products
- Unit 6 – Mortgage Arrears and Post Completion
After gaining a firm foundation in offering mortgage advice with CeMAP 1, the next step is for trainees to tackle CeMAP 2 and 3. People practicing as mortgage advisors are required by Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to possess an approved qualification and a CeMAP course is perfect. Recognised by clients and potential employers alike, CeMAP qualifications are respected as a mark of expert understanding about mortgages. After completing all three of the CeMAP courses, potential advisors will be set to start their career offering professional advice to those in the market for a mortgage.
Level up with CeMAP 2 & 3
CeMAP is a recognised qualification divided over seven units and studied in three different modules. With a basic knowledge of offering mortgage advice to build on from completion of CeMAP 1, trainees can take their skills and understanding to the next level with courses, CeMAP 2 and 3.
The CeMAP 2 course called “Mortgages” is divided into four units that carry on sequentially where trainees left off in CeMAP 1.
CeMAP 2 begins with unit three that covers four topics – Mortgage Law, Policy, Practice and Markets. Unit four then focuses on mortgage applications, teaching would-be advisors on using required documentation designed for mortgages. Unit five centres on mortgage payment methods and products. Lastly, unit six looks at mortgage arrears and completion issues, to prepare mortgage advisors of the future for common obstacles found when advising and guiding clients through the process.
All four of the units in CeMAP 2 conclude with a 30-minute objective exam that consists of 25 multiple choice format questions.
CeMAP 3 includes only one unit – unit seven, titled ‘an assessment of mortgage advice and knowledge’. This last course features a 120-minute long exam that includes six individual case studies, along with 10 questions in multiple-choice.
Trainees on our CeMAP 2 & 3 courses benefit from specialist tutors. We provide easy to understand materials along with access to past exam questions and answers to ensure you’re prepared to pass. You can depend on our training techniques, backed up by a 90% pass rate in exams.
