London is a fast-paced city, with lots of opportunities for work and leisure time. If you are studying for a CeMAP qualification in the capital, you will need to make sure you plan your time carefully.

Although there is so much to do in the city, don’t be tempted to leave studying until the very last minute. Create a timetable so that you can balance out work and recreational activities. Don’t plan to study early in the morning or very late at night, unless these are optimal times for you.

Try to organise the area where you will be studying, as any clutter or mess will distract you. Create a work area that has all the equipment which you may require, like pens, pencils, paper and a computer or laptop. A comfortable chair and good lighting will also help to avoid eye strain and posture problems.

Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit, vegetables, whole wheat pasta and bread. Drink plenty of water to prevent tiredness and headaches and improve concentration. Sleep for around eight hours a night in a clean, tidy bedroom, so that you wake refreshed ready for studying.

If you are taking a CeMAP qualification in a classroom environment, try to organise a study group so that you can support each other when studying. Prior to taking your exam, make sure that you know where you are travelling to, and what you will need. If you have prepared well for your exam, you will increase your chances of passing.
