After analysing recent data, eMoov.co.uk has discovered that people these days generally decide whether or not a particular property is right for them within only 38 minutes. Before the decision is made, just under 30% of people will have viewed the property more than twice. Around two thirds will have been twice and 10% will have only been to see the property in question once.

With the Internet, potential buyers can view floor plans, house photos, and purchase price history at the click of a button. You can now even research crime rates, school catchment areas and performances, and employments opportunities, all before you have even picked up the phone to arrange a viewing (and you can even request that online, in some cases).

The founder and chief executive of eMoov.co.uk, Russell Quirk, said:

“The fact of the matter is people don’t need to spend as much time on the viewing process as they once did.”

Nowadays, people have often done vast amounts of research beforehand, so when they arrange the viewing, they are literally just going to view the house. Many buyers know fairly quickly whether it is the ‘house for them’, and often arrange a second viewing simply to confirm how they feel.
