One of BBC television’s most loved daytime presenters, Kristian Digby, was found dead at his home in London on Monday morning.

Kristian was perhaps best known for his role presenting the property programme ‘To Buy or Not to Buy’, where he teamed up with fellow BBC presenter Dominic Littlewood in a show designed at matching property buyers with their ideal homes. In the show, the two presenters would both find their interpretations of a ‘perfect match’ property to the prospective buyer’s wish list, before also showing them a ‘wild card’ property. The buyers would then choose their favourite before test driving the property for a few hours with their friends and family.

As well as being a TV presenter, Kristian knew a lot about property, the processes involved in buying property and renovating it as his family are property developers in Devon.

Kristian was found in his home at 7:45am on Monday, where he was sadly pronounced dead on the scene. A spokesman for Scotland Yard commented:

Police were called to reports of a body of a man in his 30s found at an address in Richford Road, E15.

Ambulance services attended and life was pronounced extinct. Next of kin were informed and we await formal identification.

There will be a post-mortem at 12 noon at East Ham mortuary.

As well as presenting To Buy or Not to Buy, Kristian presented other property programs such as ‘House Swap’, ‘Living in the Sun’, ‘Buy it, Sell it, Bank it’ and ‘Double Agents’

A spokesperson for the BBC heaped praise on Kristian for his work on television:

Kristian was a much-loved and talented presenter for BBC Daytime. He brought a real sense of energy and warmth to all the shows he presented for us and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time.
