New mortgages from Yorkshire Building Society
This week, the Yorkshire Building Society has released a new set of mortgages that start from as little as 3.99 per cent.
There is a range of 2, 3 or 5 year mortgage deals on fixed rates and loan to value ratios are available in 60 percent, 75 percent and 85 percent deals.
The whole range is available with offset facilities. Offset mortgages have been popular in the past for those who manage their money well and have some savings available that they would like to offset against their mortgage to save on mortgage interest but would still like easy access to those savings. There is also a £250 cash back deal on the two year mortgages or alternatively, for those wanting a remortgage they have the option of free legal services and a free standard valuation.
Most of the range has an application fee of £495. Like many other mortgage lenders have recently start doing, part of this (£195) is payable upon application and is not refundable. The exception to the application fee is the First Time Buyer mortgage and also the FreshStart mortgage, which is aimed at those who have been through a divorce. This type of special offer is becoming more popular now; the different types of mortgages are covered in CeMAP training for those who wish to become mortgage advisors.
