A different north-south divide revealed by UK property market

According to recent research, property in the south is likely to take three times longer to sell than a property in the north of the UK.

The new figures suggest that it would take three times as long to sell a home in London than it is in Carlisle. Those who are selling their home in Cumbria or Carlisle are likely to sell the property after an average of six viewings. On average, properties in Glasgow are also likely to sell relatively quickly, after just seven viewings.

However, those properties being sold close to London will take an average of 16 viewings before the building is sold. The difference in the north-south divide is commonly used to refer to the prices of houses, whereas now the divide also refers to the length of time it takes for a property to sell.

According to House Network, an online estate agent, Wembley and Ilford top the list of slowest selling postal codes. The first six of the top ten are within the M25 motorway. The chief executive of House Network, https://www.beaconfinancialtraining.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/cemap-online-and-classroom-training-uk.jpg Reading, points out that it is “relatively simple” for people to sell their homes, even for those living in the south.

He stated that as the sale of a home is possibly the biggest sale to be made during our life, 15 viewings isn’t such a big deal. A mortgage adviser who has studied for the CeMAP qualification will be able to advise about affordable mortgages and also help you to sell your property.
