Atom Bank tops advisor satisfaction poll

December 16, 2024 by Brendan O'Neill

A survey of mortgage advisors that assesses how satisfied they are with the performance of the different lenders has been carried out, with Atom Bank being the lender that tops the ranking.

The Mortgage Lender Benchmark is a twice-yearly poll conducted by Smart Money People. It is designed to get the opinions of advisors on the quality of service offered by the different mortgage lenders. The results of the survey for the second half of 2024 have now been released and Atom Bank scored a 94.2% rating in terms of overall satisfaction.

That follows feedback provided by a total of 116 advisors from across the country. It means that the online bank placed well ahead of any of its competitors – with the average satisfaction rating being 83.4%. This represents a drop of 0.3% compared with the average rating for the survey in the first half of the year. It is still the second best figure since Smart Money People began the survey though.

Some of the other mortgage lenders that scored high ratings were Pure Retirement and Principality Building Society. The first of these was rated the best performing provider of lifetime mortgages. The second was ranked as the top building society lender.

Smart Money People chief executive Jacqueline Dewey said that it was pleasing to see the ratings from advisors remain very positive, despite the fact that it had been a turbulent year within the mortgage market.

It is good that advisors with CeMAP training are rating lenders highly in surveys like this one.
