Skipton Building Society has announced that Manj Dhinsay has joined its team, as she will be taking on the role of senior intermediary lead within the company.
Dhinsay has been employed in the mortgage industry for more than 20 years. She began her career as an advisor and then moved from that into management positions after gaining experience. Much of her working life up until now has been spent at Coventry Building Society, as a mortgage advisor and then supervising teams.
For the past 11 years she has been working within the intermediary part of the industry. Her tasks at Coventry BS included heading up the support teams for advisors and the business development manager (BDM) specialist support team. She was also responsible for all of the phone-based BDM work.
After her switch to Skipton BS was announced, Dhinsay told Financial Reporter that buying a home is a dream for most people and that this is a particularly tough time to achieve it. She then went on by saying:
“For me, being able to play a part in sharing with mortgage intermediaries how we support home ownership gives me a sense of satisfaction and provides a rewarding experience.”
Dhinsay concluded by stating that she was very pleased to take up this new position at Skipton BS and was keen to start supporting advisors to help the public.
When they enter the industry following CeMAP training, advisors need good support from lenders just as the public needs mortgage guidance from those qualified to offer it.
