Just Mortgages launches self-employed starter package

March 2, 2025 by Brendan O'Neill

Just Mortgages has announced it is introducing a new support package that will be targeted at advisors who have just gone self-employed, providing them with important information.

This starter package is being launched through its self-employed division, and the hope is that it will persuade more advisors to make the leap into self-employment. The idea is to tackle head-on some of the worries they may have about the financial risks of going it alone. The package will provide them with pre-qualified client leads to help them make it through the often lean early months of self-employment.

It will ensure that they have a regular flow of work – and income – during that period. This could be invaluable, as the struggle to build a profile and secure clients makes self-employment challenging for any advisor at first.

That client access is not the only thing the package offers, though; it is also providing financial backing. Advisors who opt to join the Just Mortgages self-employed division will be able to get a loan interest-free. This is intended to further support them through the start-up period. It will give them some short-term financial security so that they can concentrate on business plans and attracting clients.

Speaking to Mortgage Solutions, Ben Allkins from Just Mortgages stated that:

“One of the biggest obstacles stopping even the most ambitious of advisors going self-employed is the fear of those first few months.”

This sounds like an exciting opportunity for any advisor who has CeMAP training, as it will greatly increase the chances of self-employment success.
