Kerry Katona having mortgage problems

December 21, 2009 by Brendan

Kerry Katona is reportedly facing possible eviction in the New Year after failing to keep up with mortgage repayments, according to a report in The Mirror today.

The star and her four children live in her £1.5 million home in the town of Wilmslow in Cheshire and apparently could be homeless following a repossession order presented to the former Atomic Kitten star.

29 year-old Kerry Katona has experienced a few troubles recently, not least of which was the loss of her Iceland marketing deal – worth a reported £290,000 – following a cocaine scandal. She has already been declared bankrupt after she lost her MTV TV show and failed to pay her tax bill. Following her win on I’m A Celebrity, deals to sign the star flooded in but according to a family pal speaking to The Sun Kerry has blown approximately £10 million in just five years.

As every homeowner in the UK should be aware, if you fail to meet your mortgage repayments then your home could be at risk and a good mortgage advisor will advise you of this when you apply for a mortgage. Mortgage lenders will want to ensure that you can afford your mortgage when you apply and following the credit crunch crisis their application criteria has tightened.
