Later life lending event happening in May

April 2, 2024 by Brendan O'Neill

An event that is being described as a ‘round table’ for mortgage advisors who work within the later life part of the market is being organised by the Later Life Lending Network during May.

This organisation is affiliated with the Right Mortgage and Protection Network. Its upcoming event will be a workshop that will enable advisors operating in the area to learn how to build their businesses. It will include interactive activities and presentations provided by companies in the later life market. Furthermore, the round table is designed to give advisors opportunities to share insights and explore what potential there is for growth within this market.

The venue for the event is set to be Copt Heath Golf Club, Knowle, and the date will be May 1. Many members of staff from the Later Life Lending Network will be in attendance, and it is open both to advisors who already provide later life guidance and ones who are keen to get into that field in the future.

Equity release head at the Right Mortgage and Protection Network, Victoria Clark, told Mortgage Introducer that the demand in this part of the market is on the rise. She then added that equity release was something that could help older property owners with anything from everyday costs to retirement income or mortgage repayments.

Some advisors are now choosing to follow up their completion of CeMAP courses by taking the CeRER course needed to offer equity release guidance, as they see that the market for it is very likely to keep growing.
