TMG Mortgage Network has announced the hiring of a new recruitment and sales head, as it seeks to help its mortgage advisors to grow their businesses.
Jasmine Smith is the woman who has been appointed to this role and she has plenty of experience at working with advisors. For the past decade, she has been employed by Melton Building Society in a range of different roles. She finished up at that lender as its key account manager, which required her to collaborate with many UK intermediary companies. Smith will start in her new position straight away.
Among the skills that she will bring to TMG are a grasp of how the internet and social media can be used to build the brand of an advisor. After her appointment was confirmed, she spoke to Financial Reporter and said she had chosen TMG because it was doing something different to help advisors deal with the problem of getting noticed and developing their careers:
She then continued by saying:
“What sets TMG apart is its ambition to change that – to back advisors properly, help them build strong personal brands, and support real business growth, not just compliance box-ticking.”
TMG Mortgage Network CEO is Scott Thorpe. He stated that getting Smith to join the company was a real coup, due to her understanding of growth and the issues faced by mortgage advisors in the current market.
A lot of advisors choose to apply to networks after completing the CeMAP mortgage advisor qualification because of the support provided to build their businesses.
