The examination consists of three different multiple choice examinations. You can choose which of the components to study first, not necessarily having to do them in order.
CeMAP 1 is basically an introduction to the regulations in the UK, along with financial products and services that are available. This part of the coursework is divided into two separate units with part one going over things such as mortgages and pensions, savings, investments and other products, while part two oversees the regulation of the industry by the FSA, data protection and other regulations.
CeMAP 2 is spilt over four different parts, continuing on from parts one and two, with part three relating to the law regarding mortgage, while part four takes you through the application of mortgages. Part five concerns repayments of the mortgage and other product and part six takes the student through the post completion issues.
CeMAP 3 consists of answering questions based on case studies and there are 60 questions in total.
