Atom Bank has announced that it is planning to add to its mortgage teams, in the wake of its recent relocation to new offices in Newcastle.
The lender was previously based in Durham, but has now moved into a Grade II listed structure in Newcastle called the Pattern Shop. That relocation was part of an ambitious plan to grow its business, which will now see it recruit more people. The bank has stated that it wants to expand both its commercial and residential mortgage teams, and has already revealed plans for the first new additions.
A new trade and associate pricing manager will be joining its residential department. That person will be in charge of overseeing its plans for pricing. Atom Bank is also bringing in a new head of delivery, who will join its commercial team. He or she will assist in the development of its processes for commercial mortgage lending.
The creation of those two new roles is just the start though. The bank is keen to hire around 30 further members of staff and will prioritise talented people from the local area. Among the positions available will be ones in the customer support, data and engineering departments.
The CEO of Atom Bank is Mark Mullen. He spoke to Mortgage Solutions:
“This new chapter will help us attract top talent and continue to challenge the status quo, proving that a truly innovative and profitable business can thrive right here in the North East.”
This could be an opportunity for people in the area with the CeMAP mortgage advisor qualification.
