New head of risk appointed by The Right Mortgage

October 18, 2025 by Brendan O'Neill

The Right Mortgage and Protection Network has announced the appointment of a new head of risk, with Robin Pearson the man who has been chosen for the role.

This represents a homecoming for Pearson, who was previously employed by The Right Mortgage and Protection Network for six years. He was at the company from 2017 to 2023, starting in the role of compliance manager. He was later promoted to the position of business development manager (BDM). Before joining The Right Mortgage for the first time, he worked for a number of financial services companies – including KPMG, Accenture Operations and LSL Property Services.

Between 2023 and the present, Pearson had been working for Mortgage Connect. He was employed by that company as an advisor and compliance manager. In his new role at The Right Mortgage, he will be responsible for managing both mortgage product and advisor risk. He will also be required to oversee regulatory matters.

The Right Mortgage compliance director is Jack Norrey. He talked to Mortgage Solutions about the appointment, stating that the company was delighted Pearson had agreed to come back.

He then continued by saying:

“His extensive track record in risk, governance and advisor development, combined with his deep understanding of TRM, will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our compliance framework.”

Norrey concluded by arguing that the support offered by Pearson would help the network’s advisors to manage the regulatory demands of the industry.

This is important for anyone with the CeMAP mortgage advisor qualification, because they face increased regulation now.
