Date for Mortgage Market Debate revealed

September 20, 2024 by Alan

The date on which the annual Mortgage Market Debate will be held this year has now been revealed by the organiser, and many mortgage advisors will be keen to set it in their diaries.

This key industry event will see a panel made up of leading mortgage sector figures discuss the most important topics of the day. The people taking part in the panel are specially chosen by Square 1 Media, a mortgage marketing firm that puts the event together. The audience for the 90-minute panel will be made up of advisors, lenders and other relevant people from within the sector.

The particular theme for the 2024 Mortgage Market Debate is:

‘What do you think of it so far/What should happen next? The UK mortgage and housing market five months into a Labour Government.’

Heading up the panel will be Victoria Hartley. Her past roles have included working for AE3 Media as group editor, but she is now employed by Square 1 Media as client services director.

Some of the people featuring on the panel have been confirmed too. They include Esther Dijkstra from Lloyds Banking Group and Simon Allsop from Chetwood Bank.
Paul Hunt of Square 1 Media told Mortgage Solutions that:

“Since holding the inaugural Mortgage Market Debate in May last year, we have been planning the next one for a while.”

The panel event will take place on 20th November in London. This is the sort of event that many of those with the CeMAP mortgage advisor qualification will be keen to attend, to make useful contacts.
