Just Mortgages hires new area director

September 18, 2024 by Brendan O'Neill

Just Mortgages has announced the hiring of a brand new area director who will be in charge of the north, with Chris Hayes being the man who has been brought in by the company.

Hayes has worked within the financial services sector for over two decades. More than half of that time was spent at the LSL Group, for whom he began his career as a mortgage advisor. He subsequently took up the role of executive financial consultant at that company, followed by area development manager and – finally – financial services manager, a position he maintained for the past six years.

His role at Just Mortgages will require him to find promising new advisors across the north to become part of the company’s self-employed division. He will also help those advisors who have already joined it to grow their businesses and make a success of their plans.

An advantage he will have in undertaking these tasks is his own background as a self-employed mortgage advisor. This experience should help him in understanding the perspectives of those working for themselves.

Talking with Financial Reporter after his appointment was confirmed, Hayes said he felt ready for a fresh challenge and was delighted to be at Just Mortgages. He then added:

“Just through meeting the team, the onboarding and hearing their exciting plans, I can already tell this was a good decision.”

Those advisors who choose to go it alone after completing CeMAP courses need quality support of this kind, so they will most likely welcome this appointment.
