Mortgage Man

Mortgage Advice Bureau adds new media head

June 30, 2021 by Alan

Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) has announced the appointment of a new hire to lead its events and media department, with James Prosser the man who will take up the role.

Prior to joining MAB, Prosser set up an annual industry event called the Financial Services Expo (FSE), so he will bring real experience of managing events to his new position. His role at MAB will involve developing content that offers both fresh perspectives and education aimed at the 1,600-strong team of mortgage lenders and advisors that operate under the MAB umbrella.

After his appointment was announced, he told Mortgage Introducer that he was itching to get started on this and that he felt it was a chance to make a big difference. He went on to say that the reputation and influence that MAB enjoys within the mortgage sector had been a big draw for him, before adding:

ā€œI’m excited to enhance the already strong MAB proposition by delivering thought-provoking content to lenders and brokers through a variety of multimedia platforms.ā€

Prosser concluded by saying that companies had been required to massively re-think both partnerships with other businesses and information sharing because of the Covid-19 crisis and that he felt his experience at creating innovative content and events would make him a valuable addition to the existing team at MAB.

The mortgage industry has been re-shaped by Covid-19 at all stages, with much of the CeMAP mortgage advisor training needed to work within it now completed remotely, so this move makes sense for MAB.
