April Mortgages has begun the new year by announcing three new appointments, as it prepares for what it expects to be 12 months of significant growth.
Two of them will see fresh faces joining the mortgage lender, while the other is a promotion from within. The latter sees Lewis Chinyou-Robinson become the new national account manager. Prior to this, he was employed by April Mortgages as its business support manager – a position he held for two years. He will now have the responsibility of improving the lender’s service standards and cultivating relationships with its main distributors.
He spoke to Mortgage Solutions after the news broke and stated that the approach that April Mortgages was taking was one that advisors were really responding to. He then went on to add that:
“As we look ahead to 2026, my focus is on building even stronger distributor partnerships and making sure advisors get the service, clarity and support they need to grow their business.”
The other two appointments are Mark Brown and Lucy Hughes. Both have been hired as telephone business development managers and will work closely with advisors. They are charged with improving the support functions offered to advisors by April Mortgages.
Hughes said that she was really pleased to be joining a lender that has big plans for the future and that is seeking to bring the mortgage sector into the modern era. She added that she hoped to foster strong connections with mortgage advisors.
It is those kinds of connections that advisors with CeMAP training need when dealing with mortgage lenders.
