WhatsApp channel created for mortgage advisors

October 18, 2024 by Mark

The mortgage industry tech provider Knowledge Bank has announced the creation of a new channel on the WhatsApp platform, which will allow lenders and advisors to get updates on market changes.

It is claiming that this channel will be the first of its kind for the mortgage sector. It has been designed to provide both mortgage advisors and lenders with a simple method of accessing an overview of information from the company’s regular update emails. These mostly concern criteria changes, as Knowledge Bank offers a system for sourcing different product criteria.

The company has said that the channel will be used to update lenders and advisors about new functionalities added to that system too. Other key information that will be disseminated using the new WhatsApp channel includes “Lenders Live” webinar content.

These webinars are hosted regularly by Knowledge Bank using the LinkedIn social media site. There have now been more than 100 of them, and their availability via the WhatsApp channel will enable advisors and lenders to take part in live sessions more easily.

All interested parties have to do to join it is open WhatsApp, click on ‘Updates’ and then pick ‘Channels’.

Shane Chawatama from Knowledge Bank told Mortgage Solutions that:

“Our WhatsApp channel aims to ensure that anyone – whether a broker, administrator, business development manager, head of distribution or CEO – can easily access the latest information to enhance their work.”

This sounds like something that all advisors with the CeMAP qualification will want to access, as they require information that is up-to-the-minute.
