Advisor administration service introduced by Access FS

October 10, 2022 by Brendan O'Neill

Protection and mortgages provider Access Financial Services (Access FS) has introduced a brand new administration support service for its team of mortgage advisors, following a successful pilot period.

This service has been tested out over a four-month spell and is now being given a full rollout, having proven a hit with advisors. It offers them a comprehensive system of admin support, covering every stage of the mortgage and protection applications process. That means assistance with application completion, securing decisions in principle (DiPs), contacting clients for additional relevant information and application reviews for compliance purposes prior to submission.

This service will also make sure that details on mortgage applications are accurate ahead of submission to save costly revisions and provide draft letters for estate agents, solicitors or lenders, should applications need to be chased up.

Access FS is stating that one mortgage advisor who used this service during the pilot period completed 30% more applications than they had managed on average before it. The company consulted with advisors about what they needed most before creating it, with Karl Wilkinson, the chief executive, telling Mortgage Strategy that:

“Overwhelmingly, we heard that the level of administration required, particularly to submit a mortgage case, was taking a huge amount of time and preventing them from seeing the number of clients that they would otherwise be able to.”

Anyone with CeMAP mortgage advisor training behind them can confirm that there is a lot of busywork involved in a typical application and a service that reduces that will really improve efficiency.
