Zoom Call

Advisor online meeting space launched by UTB

March 12, 2021 by Brendan O'Neill

A brand-new online meeting space called the ‘Zoom Room’, which is aimed at mortgage advisors, has been launched by United Trust Bank (UTB).

The purpose of this virtual facility is to make it easy for property finance and mortgage advisors to remain in the loop with the underwriters and business development managers employed by UTB. It will be open for use every weekday between 10am and 4pm, and during those times, an underwriter or manager will provide a range of services for advisors.

These will include helping them with any ongoing cases that are proving difficult and providing details of specific UTB mortgage products. However, they will also be able to talk more socially, which could be an important service in counteracting the loneliness of lockdown for advisors.

The passcode and ID for the Zoom Room will be sent out to advisors, along with an encouragement to give it a try, with Mike Walters from UTB telling Mortgage Introducer that even when the lockdown ends, it is unlikely that advisors and business development managers will be able to meet in-person for some time. He then added that:

“In the meantime, the UTB Broker Zoom Room provides an online space for brokers and property finance intermediaries to stay connected, even though they’re most likely at home.”

Walters also stated that UTB felt the facility would boost business for advisors.

With CeMAP training courses now taught online, advisors are more comfortable with technology, and this could be a valuable social and professional tool during lockdown.
