Further hires announced by Responsible Group

Responsible Group has announced the recruitment of two new people to its lender and advisor departments, with the company looking to undergo significant expansion.

The later life lender has recruited Tom Moloney to serve as Advice Director for its broker firm, Responsible Life. Moloney has spent much of his career working within the equity release segment of the market, having been Project Consultant at Legal and General for four years and Corporate Partnerships Manager at Age Partnership for three. Before that, he was Financial Solutions Manager at the StepChange charity for close to a decade.

The Responsible Life Managing Director Tim Waterlow said that the company was delighted to have brought in someone with Moloney’s experience and talent to what is a vital part of its business.

Speaking to Mortgage Solutions after his appointment was announced, Moloney said:

“The calibre of advice in the later life lending arena is crucial and standards are rising all the time. That’s great news for consumers but it does mean brokers need to constantly evolve. We’ll strive to always represent the gold standard.”

The other appointment sees Chris Flowers take on the role of Intermediary Sales Director within Responsible Lending. Its CEO, Keith Haggart, stated that he would be a brilliant addition to this department thanks to his wide grasp of the market for later life lending.

A lot of advisors follow up their CeMAP courses by going for the CeRER qualification so that they can broaden their scope to include the later life part of the market.
