New mortgage advisor trade show launching

A new trade show for mortgage advisors based in Scotland is set to debut later this year, with the organisers of the event promising that major people from within the industry will be in attendance.

Called Mortgage Advisor Event Glasgow, it will be the first industry trade show aimed at Scottish advisors. The venue for it will be The Engine Works and a specially selected line-up of top UK mortgage sector exhibitors will be taking part in it. Among the companies who are set to have a presence at the show are more2life, Barclays and the protection provider LV=.

Alongside these exhibitors, this event will offer several seminars for mortgage advisors that can be put towards their continuous professional development (CPD). Topics that will be covered during these include ‘Protection in the cost of living crisis’, which is being taught by LV= and a SimplyBiz session dealing with the regulations surrounding consumer duty.

Advisors can attend this trade show at no cost and on-site parking is also being provided at the venue. Its founder, Laura Calcroft, told Financial Reporter that everyone involved was pleased to be able to take the event to Glasgow, before adding:

“In the last three years we have welcomed thousands of mortgage advisors from across the UK to our existing events in London and Manchester.”

The event will be held on 23rd March.

This sounds like a useful event for mortgage advisors with a CeMAP qualification to attend, as it will offer access to lenders coupled with the chance to gain further CPD hours.
