New online advisor platform introduced by Newcastle BS

June 10, 2024 by Brendan O'Neill

Newcastle Building Society has announced the launch of a new online platform that is targeted at mortgage advisors, as the latest move in its programme of tech upgrades.

This platform is being launched through its advisor arm, Newcastle for Intermediaries. The lender is confident that it will make the experience of working with it better for advisors. It is the latest in a series of improvements that Newcastle BS has introduced since the start of 2024, following on from a brand update and the creation of a new website for mortgage advisors.

Newcastle Strategic Solutions was responsible for the design of this platform. That is the society’s ancillary company that focuses on developing tech solutions. The idea behind the new platform is to make it simpler for mortgage advisors to complete and submit applications for their clients.

Among the functions offered by it are a feature for tracing the progress of applications after submission and one for uploading files relevant to the case. Editing of applications post-submission will also be possible via the platform, and it has been designed to help advisors to comply with the new Consumer Duty rules.

Michael Conville from Newcastle BS said to Mortgage Solutions that:

“Built in the spirit of true collaboration and partnership with our trusted broker community, our new mortgage platform completely transforms the current application journey.”

One of the biggest advantages of technology for those who have the CeMAP mortgage advisor qualification is the potential it has to make the application process a more efficient one.
