New organisation launched to promote mortgage advice

March 4, 2020 by Brendan O'Neill

A new organisation called the Mortgage https://www.beaconfinancialtraining.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/cemap-online-and-classroom-training-uk.jpget Alliance has been launched by two PR directors working in the industry, with the aim of promoting the importance of mortgage advisors.

Alex Hammond and Rob Griffiths are the duo behind this organisation and they both bring more than 10 years’ worth of experience providing public relations expertise to mortgage lenders to it. In addition to this, Griffiths spent time working for the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries as one of its associate directors.

He and Hammond have stated that the Mortgage https://www.beaconfinancialtraining.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/cemap-online-and-classroom-training-uk.jpget Alliance has not been set up for actual trading, but will instead serve to publicise the mortgage sector and try to increase awareness among the general public about why getting advice from a qualified CeMAP mortgage advisor is so important. The official website is set to feature a directory listing everyone who is a member of it, while an executive chair to serve as its spokesperson will be appointed.

Hammond said that they had come to the conclusion that it was needed based on the sheer numbers of people who are unaware that they are eligible for a mortgage or where they can go to get one. Griffiths added that many within the sector agreed with them that more needed to be done to make customers aware of their options and how they can benefit from professional advice.

This will be great news for all advisors with a CeMAP qualification as it could lead to an increase in their services.
