Orion managing director appointed by Just Mortgages

Just Mortgages has announced the appointment of a new managing director, who will be in charge of its employed Orion chapter, and the company has opted to keep it in-house.

John Doughty is the man who will take up this position and he has been with Just Mortgages for a number of years. Most of that time was spent as its financial services director, but he also has plenty of other finance and mortgage industry experience. He spent a lengthy period at the Spicerhaart estate agency, before joining the mortgage brokerage Just Mortgages.

His new position with the company will see him working with over 90 Just Mortgages employees, including around 60 mortgage advisors. He will be responsible for assisting them with everyday work, but also in helping them to further their careers through identifying potential opportunities for mentoring, training and promotions.

Tommy Taylor held the position prior to Doughty, with the former now moving to be a managing director at Spicerhaart. Taylor and Doughty will be required to collaborate closely in their respective new roles, though.

Just Mortgages national operations director John Phillips told Mortgage Introducer that:

“It gives me great pleasure to name John Doughty as our new chapter managing director. He has been a part of the team for more than 13 years and is a great example of the opportunities available at Just Mortgages.”
