Cambridge BS joins SimplyBiz Mortgages lender panel

June 28, 2023 by Brendan O'Neill

Cambridge Building Society has become the latest major mortgage lender to join the SimplyBiz Mortgages Lender Panel. which is set to increase the number of products available for SimplyBiz members.

Those mortgage advisors will find the complete slate of buy-to-let and residential loans that Cambridge BS has on offer for properties in Wales and England available to them now.

In announcing the news that it was signing up to the lender panel, the intermediary manager of Cambridge BS, Kathy Bowes, stated that the company was pleased to be partnering with SimplyBiz Mortgages.

She then went on to say that the decision would mean that advisors would have a greater range of products to choose from on behalf of their customers. Bowes concluded by pointing out that it would be particularly beneficial for complex mortgage cases that require personalised underwriting and decisions made by a human being.

Talking to Financial Reporter, SimplyBiz lender relations head Philip Daffern said that:

“We have wanted to add The Cambridge to our panel for some time and as with any relationship, it’s a case of waiting until the time is right for both parties.”

He then added that now is the correct moment, as mortgage advisors need the help of prestige lenders to find solutions to complicated cases that bear in mind the differing circumstances for each individual borrower.

More mortgage products to select from will please advisors with CeMAP training at a time when borrowers are trying to cope with rising rates and living costs.
