MIMHC launching this year’s wellbeing survey

July 8, 2026 by Brendan O'Neill

The Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter (MIMHC) has announced it is putting out this year’s Mental Health & Wellbeing Survey.

This survey has been put out annually for the last five years and it is completed by those working within the industry. MIMHC has set a public target for 2026 though, as it wants to get over 500 people to fill the survey out. Those who are eligible to complete it include mortgage advisors and people who work for high street and specialist lenders.

In an attempt to help the MIMHC meet its target, Pepper Money is making a financial commitment. For each completed survey returned, the lender will donate £2 to the MIMHC CIC.

The CIC offers training and education on mental health issues, and it could get more than £1,000 towards this. This will surely be sufficient motivation to persuade advisors and other mortgage professionals to complete the survey and send it back.

All of the questions contained within it are designed to evaluate the wellbeing of those in the sector. They help to highlight everyday difficulties and stresses faced by people working in the industry. The responses are then used to develop schemes for relieving the pressures.

Jason Berry co-founded the MIMHC. Speaking to Mortgage Strategy, he said:

“The result has been meaningful change, from expanding Mental Health First Aid training to creating initiatives that encourage healthier conversations, stronger leadership and better support across our workplaces.”

This survey is something that every individual with CeMAP mortgage advisor training should be taking the time to complete.
