New compliance director hired by TMG Mortgage Network

November 16, 2024 by Brendan O'Neill

TMG Mortgage Network has announced the recruitment of a new director of compliance and oversight, with Emma-Jayne Savory the person who will take up the role.

She comes to her new job with almost two decades worth of experience within the mortgage industry. Prior to joining TMG Mortgage Network, she worked for the Mortgage Advice Bureau, where she was its head of supervision. Now she is set to have responsibility for all areas of oversight at TMG Mortgage Network, which means ensuring that it complies with all of the relevant industry regulations.

Savory is not the only person to have joined the network from the Mortgage Advice Bureau. Kavan Morris arrived at the same time, and will support her as she carries out her tasks. Further backing will come from Graham Bradley, in his position as the AR oversight manager.

Talking to Financial Reporter after her appointment was confirmed; Savory stated that it was an excellent moment to be joining the company. She then went on to add that:

“We are committed to being forward-thinking and responsive to the needs of our members. I look forward to meeting all our members and fostering a collaborative environment that prioritises compliance and innovation.”

Scott Thorpe, who is the TMG Mortgage Network CEO, said that he was very happy to have secured the services of someone of Savory’s experience and calibre.

It is important for mortgage advisors with the CeMAP qualification to have support on issues relating to compliance, especially now that the Consumer Duty rules have changed.
