Hundreds of new advisors join Openwork

March 1, 2020 by Brendan O'Neill

The mortgage advice network Openwork has announced that over 500 new mortgage advisors were employed over the course of last year, with this being a new record for the company.

In total, a further 559 advisors specialising in mortgage and protection matters joined Openwork last year, but although this is a record, it is also part of a medium term upwards recruitment trend. During 2018, the company hired 508 new mortgage advisors and it has now also brought in a regional recruitment manager, Tracey Saunders, to deal with the surge in demand for advisors with a CeMAP qualification. She will be working alongside the recruitment and growth director, Stephen Wildgoose.

The company’s mortgage director, John Cupis, stated that the number of new advisors who were opting to join Openwork demonstrated how strong its ideas and services are. He then went on to add that he welcomed Saunders to the company, where she will take on the job of recruiting more people to enable Openwork to continue its expansion.

Speaking to Mortgage Introducer, Saunders said that she was thrilled to be part of the company and that she was aiming to keep its current levels of success going, before adding:

“Openwork’s unique ownership scheme, innovative technology and competitive commercial framework will enable us as a business to attract an increasing number of mortgage and protection advisors.”

This is the sort of opportunity that potential advisors who have undertaken CeMAP mortgage advisor training will be looking for as they seek to progress their careers.
