L&C Mortgages lender panel adds West One

August 22, 2024 by Brendan O'Neill

London & Country (L&C) Mortgages has announced the addition of West One Loans to its panel of lenders, which will mean mortgage advisors connected to L&C have access to its slate of products.

West One Loans is a specialist mortgage lender offering both buy-to-let and residential loans. It is set to benefit from joining the L&C lender panel too, as this will make its full slate of products available to a much wider range of borrowers. Meanwhile, L&C has managed to expand its distribution network across residential and buy-to-let channels.

West One has become notable for meeting the needs of those borrowers not catered to by mainstream mortgage lenders. During the summer it announced major loosening of its criteria, as well as adding further products to its slate, with the aim of helping an even wider number of people.

After the announcement was made, its intermediary distribution and sales head, Paul Huxter, told Mortgage Introducer that joining the L&C lender panel was a big move for West One.

He then went on by saying:

“We have earmarked this as a growth year for West One, and announcements such as this show that we are making great strides toward that goal. We have built an enviable product range and brought that offering to a greater number of brokers and borrowers this year.”

Mortgage advisors who have the CeMAP qualification and who work with L&C will be delighted by this news, as specialist lenders are becoming an ever more important part of the market now.
