New distribution director hired by L&G Home Finance

May 2, 2020 by Brendan O'Neill

Legal and General Home Finance has announced the appointment of a new director of distribution, with Dave Stratton being the man chosen to take over this role following the retirement of Harold Pritchard.

Stratton is set to be in charge of working out strategies for business and sales at L&G and will also be taking charge of the distribution department at the company. This latter responsibility will involve making sure that all of the company’s partners, advisor networks, main accounts and independent financial advisors get the best service possible from the department.

He will be bringing a vast degree of industry experience and knowledge to his new job, having worked within the financial services sector for more than three decades. The last two of these were spent working for AXA Wealth.

Following the announcement of his appointment, Stratton stated that he was aiming to use his new position to help mortgage advisors to understand how important lifetime mortgage products are when it comes to planning for an individual’s retirement.

L&G Home Finance chief executive, Claire Singleton, added that the company was delighted at his decision to accept the job and that the industry experience he would bring to it was set to be a real boost to the firm as it seeks to expand its market reach in the future.

This news is likely to be of interest to any mortgage advisors with CeMAP training, as focusing more on the lifetime area of the market could open up new business for them.
