Together Financial Services is stating that its total lending volumes over the course of October set a new company record for a single month, with several factors being cited as the cause.
This non-banking lender completed a total of 1,665 mortgage transactions during the month. That brought in profits from mortgage lending of £319.5 million, with almost £30 million of that coming via auction finance. This represents the highest ever amount that the company has made from that source during a single month.
Talking to Mortgage Introducer after the results were announced, the channel development director at Together, Chris Baguley, said that a mix of hard work by the staff and the building of strong sales channels were the reason for the positive sales.
He then continued by adding:
“We’ve helped people across the board from family homebuyers and social housing providers to landlords, investors and large corporate developers achieve their property ambitions during what has been an uncertain time for individuals and businesses.”
Baguley concluded by pointing out that the results were not just good for the company and its customers, but also for the wider economy in the UK. The success that Together is now enjoying fits in with the forecasts in the recent Residential Property Market Report.
This indicated that the specialist lending sector would grow by 70% over the course of the next five years, raising its value to £54 billion.
Most mortgage advisors who have the CeMAP qualification will be aware that the specialist lending market is growing impressively.
